  1. Can I travel alone?
    One may travel on his own the only requirement is that all your accommodation and visa must be arranged through an approved agent.
  2. How much time I should allow between booking and date of travel?
    An absolute minimum of 30 days must be given to allow for visa authorization, ground arrangements and flight reservations.
  3. How many times in a year can I get an Umrah visa? 
    Under the new system you can only get Umrah visa once in a year.
  4. Can a lady travel by herself? 
    It is a requirement of the Shariah as well as the Saudi government that women must travel with a valid mehrem (close male relative) i.e. father, son, brother, grandson, maternal or paternal uncle, grandfather, nephew, father-in-law and son-in-law.
  5. What is the age limit for a woman to perform Umrah without a Mehram? 
    The age limit for women to travel without a Mehrem is forty three and above.
  6. What is the age limit for a man to perform Umrah? 
    The age limit for a man to perform Umrah is above forty years travelling from Pakistan.
  7. Can I get Umrah visa without booking accommodation? 
    No, this is no longer possible and is against Saudi Arabia law.
  8. What happens if I have a problem in Saudi Arabia?
    In the unlikely event of you having a problem with the accommodation/transportation-booked, we will issue you with a number of emergency contact numbers that you should contact in the first instance-otherwise you may contact us by phone or fax and we will do our utmost to resolve your problem ASAP.
  9. Do my children need the Meningitis vaccine? 
    If your child is 10 years or younger she/he does not need the vaccine.
  10. For how many years is the vaccination valid? 
    The vaccine is valid for 2 years.
  11. Where can I change into ihram?
    You change into Ihram from the prescribed Miqat. However, passengers on airliners should be in Ihram before their flight and should perform the Salat and Niyyat for the Ihram, you must make Niyyat for your Ihram prior to boarding your flight even though the Miqat may be hours after the takeoff. This is a precautionary measure to overcome the likelihood of you being asleep when the Miqat is crossed and no Niyyat having being made.
  12. Do I need an insurance coverage for the journey?
    We, as your Umrah Tour Organisers, do not accept any form of liability for whatever eventuality whilst travelling with us. The best recommendation is that you acquire sufficient and satisfactory insurance cover.
  13. How late can I go for Umrah and how soon can I leave?
    You can time your arrival into Jeddah to perform Umrah and after Umrah, you can leave on the first available flight. Usually about seven days within which you can perform Umrah.
  14. Can my relative join me from another country? 
    Yes, they can join you as long as they get their visa from their own country.
  15. How do I travel between Makkah and Madinah?  
    The Saudi Arabian Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) offers an hourly service between Makkah and Madinah throughout the day on quality and reliable air conditioned coaches.   Alternatively you can hire a cab/taxi for one way. The coach stations are located near the Haramayn.
  16. Can a woman wear any sort of clothes as her ihram?
    Yes, she may enter the ihram in whatever clothing she wants. There is no specific type of clothing that she must wear for ihram. It is best for her to enter the ihram in clothing which is not beautiful and will not attract the one who sees it. This is because she is going to be mixing with men. It should be comfortable and customary.
  17. What is the significance of my ID card and luggage tags?  
    You will need to have your ID card on at all times starting from your departure until you are back from Saudi Arabia. It is very important that you do so, so any Faith Tours representative can recognize you and can assist you in any needs that you may require. The luggage tags are very valuable so the luggage can be identified throughout the trip.
  18. How do I know whether I need to pay a damm (penalty) or not?
    Only you know- apart from Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala, whether or not you have breached one or some of the processes of Umrah. The best way of ensuring that you observe the conditions is to be prepared and read up on these matters before travelling for Umrah.
  19. Are there any hidden fees in the packages? 
    No there are no hidden fees in the packages.
  20. Can I combine my trip with another country? 
    Yes, many air carriers such as Emirates, Etihad, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air also offer stopovers and onward trips. However you must avail Umrah visa within one month of the visa issue date.
  21. What if I cancel my booking? 
    Payment is required in full prior to visa authorization application – Refunds on the ground arrangements portion of the payment depends on the time limit.  Depending on the ticket type we may be able to refund the ticket amount less a cancellation charges.
  22. Can I change my program after booking?
    No, this is no longer possible as payment for your package is sent to the Saudi Partners.
  23. What are the charges for children and infants? 
    If the children require a bed or a seat in the transportation they then pay the full adult charge if 2 young children share one bed they pay 50% of the adult rate plus a service charge.  If no bed/seat is required then they pay just the service/visa charge.
  24. What if I am not satisfied with the package? 
    In the first instance, you must get in touch with our service provider whilst in Saudi Arabia so that the problem may be resolved immediately, otherwise you may get in touch with us and we will try our level best to resolve endeavor to investigate and resolve the problem. Finally if all else fails then the Ministry of Hajj can also investigate your complaint.
  25. Are Ziyarah included? 
    No, Ziyarah may be arranged through a limousine company or any taxi driver locally.
  26. What are the hotel’s check-in and check-out times?
    Earliest hotel check-in time is 5pm, and the latest check-out time is also 2pm. We cannot be held liable for accommodation not being available beyond these times. If a flight is arriving earlier than the check-in time on the day of arrival, we advise that accommodation is also booked for the night prior.
